Algea Help!????????????????

I decided to clean my six gallon fish tank again, and there was a HUGE buildup of Algea....on the gl, on the plastic plants, and even on the gravel. So I just scd off all the algea that was on the gl, but now the tank water has turned a cloudy green! I have this tetra algea control stuff that says to drop four drops into the tank, and the algea is supposed to go away. The thing that worries me though, is that it says to clean out all the dead algea when its done working. Does that mean the the algea water in my tank is not going to turn crystal clear again? How can I make my water clear again??? Will the algea control work on the algea that is mixed in with my tank water? Help please!
