Are my cles taking too long for converting to catholicism...?

I'm converting to Catholicism because my fiance belongs to that faith. However, the cles are started in October as once a week for 3 hrs. Now the church wants me to go 3 times a week for 3 hrs each session, plus take time off work so I can get there earlier. Has anyone ever heard of this? I don't have time for anything and my work is not that flexable. This goes until lent.
