We've just met recently and we have been chatting a bit, every couple of days or so. Last night, he was online and I wrote 'hey, how are you?'. After about 10 mins, he went onto 'busy' status and then 10 mins later to 'available' again. So I wrote 'hey, leave me a message when you get back'. Then I logged off, as I realised he must be busy. Today when I checked my IMs there was a message from him 'hey! lucky you on vacation, I have to work, I hope you write to me sometime'. Is he interested in me? We've had lots of really open lovely conversations.

Child Allergies?

Some food allergies remain the same while others get worse over time. My sons peanut allergy went from a rash after eating them to now having asthma attacks with exposure. That is common with peanut allergies, but with some allergies they may only have a sensitivity to it once or it may never really get that bad. I was babysitting a little girl that broke out with a rash after eating a jar of peaches but then 2 months later she got the peaches again and no rash at all.

Algea Help!????????????????

I decided to clean my six gallon fish tank again, and there was a HUGE buildup of Algea....on the gl, on the plastic plants, and even on the gravel. So I just scd off all the algea that was on the gl, but now the tank water has turned a cloudy green! I have this tetra algea control stuff that says to drop four drops into the tank, and the algea is supposed to go away. The thing that worries me though, is that it says to clean out all the dead algea when its done working. Does that mean the the algea water in my tank is not going to turn crystal clear again? How can I make my water clear again??? Will the algea control work on the algea that is mixed in with my tank water? Help please!

How Do I Make Her Stop?

It may be hard to get her to stop completely but what my did with my sister was told her if she wanted to suck her fingers she had to go to bed to do it. My sister ended up sucking her fingers until she was 11, but only to go to sleep and she did end up needed a retainer as a teenager. Can anyone help me with an ear related issue Im having?

I know it is always best to seek medical advice/opinion from a professional but maybe I would ask around to see if other have had similiar experinces..... To state the usual...many ear infections as a child...tubes..yada yda yada...Im 32 now...in 2006 I was involved in a motorcycle acident that injured me severely, The left side of my body took the brunt of it all...Left ear gave me the majoraty of my trouble as a child....recently...past 1-2 years Ive been getting sick more often then I tend to...from the simple cough & cold to upper respratory, chest congestion, nasal, left ear not draining well, my asthma flares up more, larengitis, bronchitis....all these I have had in the past 12 months...Ive just recently had a hearing test...It did show some loss of hearing in the left ear and my last 3 doctor's visits I have been told when asked at my request to check the fluid in im left ear that yeah Im right its built up and was told that scar tissue was noticed...yesterday I heard this again from my new doctor...I went for a routine visit and to have my ears nose and throat checked ( felt a cough/cold coming on) I was given and Rx for antibiotics...woke up this morning with the worst pain I may have ever felt in my ear! It is constant...reluctantly tried to clean it gently with a cotton swab and it felt like my ear was swollen and the pain was so tremeandous i couldnt even proceed. To me...a non medical professional but someone just familiar with my body I would say...ear infection.....started on the antibiotics but obviously those take time...anyone have any input and maybe some suggestions aside from the typical warm compress to help eleviate my pain in my ear? Additional info to last question about my blue and gold macaw?

The macaws name is kodak and kodak eats the same thing he used to eat, except we feed him pop tarts, peanuts, or Graham crackers as treats and is only fed those three times a day. As far as the near cage/ away from cage aggresiveness goes, he doesn't get off his cage, and tore up a couple of blinds and a shelf. We have his wings clipped so he flies down. We have small dogs also. He usually gets out as much as he stays in, which I don't think he should. Also the tearing up the blinds isn't there a chalk-like block for that? We scold the bird, but don't shout cuz we know that makes it a game to him, although my little sister shouts at him when he screaches, which I'm tryin to stop, but she's kinda stubborn haha. I don't think he's ever had a bath although I'll have to ask my grandmother. The African Grey still has that feather problem, which I found is common in those birds, and the vet said that bird won't ever be the same. He is still with my grandmother, he was the old bird but is only like 40, which I've heard, for an African grey is relatively young. His last vet visit is unknown, I'll have to get back to you on that one tommorrow, maybe. Also at first he was really nice and then, overnight I guess turned grumpy, I'm not one to blame the bird and I think it has alot to do with him being moved, BY CAR in a twelve hour drive. But it could also be a cleanliness issue, which was one of my first concerns. Although we have a clean house. I've been trying to get my m to move him upstairs so he can see out the window, but she doesn't think it's a good idea. Honestly I think she's just lazy haha. There are very different opinions on this subject and I am not answering this claiming to be an "expert" of any kind. All florescent lights use mercury vapor as part of the chemistry which allows them to work. It is a very small amount and at room temperature it would have dropped right to the floor (mercury is very heavy compared to most other elements). There are stories of people breaking CFLs and the calling 911, only to have a "hazmat" team show up and end up being charged over a thousand dollars for the "hazardous material disposal". If it were me, I would just use a good vacuum cleaner which uses a disposable bag, thoroughly vacuum the floor in the room where the bulb broke and anywhere else you suspect you might of tracked the debris, and then immediately replace the vacuum cleaner bag. If you want to feel environmentally responsible, you might try to dispose of the used bag at a hazardous disposal facility if your community provides one. Then forget the whole thing, but try to be more careful with those bulbs in the future. Always make sure the fixture you putting the bulb into is turned off before trying to screw the bulb into the socket and don't ever "force" the bulb. If it doesn't screw in easily, back it out and try again until you feel it easily screwing into the fixture. The new LCD bulbs are becoming more affordable and over time they will actually save you money. I personally think the government ban on the plain old incandescent bulbs is a example of irresponsible and reckless government, but that's just IMO.

Low self-esteem in mid-20s?

It has always bothered me how low my self-esteem is. But when I turned about 5 I got so ugly. I felt terrible about myself. I didn't really look a little better until I was 19 or 20. Even now I don't feel pretty. I don't take great pictures at all. I have no pictures from elementary school though most of high school and college because I felt like I was surrounded by such pretty girls and I always looked like I was 12, seriously and never looked pretty, I never grew big like other girls or had pretty hair (my hair is very thin, I now can see there's nothing I can do about it). I was also chubby which I took care of and now to this day run 2-3 miles 4 times a week and have stayed fit and healthy so that's one plus. I do have a boyfriend who tells me I'm beautiful every day but I fear he would cheat on me with a prettier girl if he had the chance. What can I do to feel better about myself? I got severely bullied, mainly verbally. I found out I had Aspergers which explains a lot but unfortunately I found out when I was 21 and it seems like it's too late. I've already been through so much heartache. Most people now just ignore me because I'm "slow" or "annoying" but they just don't know me or just don't understand. So before I got made fun of and was told I should kill myself and nobody would care...And now I don't get talked to by anyone but my boyfriend which is almost worse because I feel like I don't even exist and nobody would care if I was gone. No. At that time, there were a limited amount of troops on the ground and Iraq did have large quantities of chemical weapons that could have been used against our troops. The only thing that Bush I could have done would have been to bomb the heck out of Iraq but that would have really irritated the Saudis and would have caused other problems. Bush II should have kept the no fly zones in place and continue to pressure the Iraqis with economic sanctions. If that would have been done and more time, focus and money would have been put into Afghanistan, Iraq may have overthrown Saddam in the same manner that the Libyans are overthrowing Qadaffi.

How would one clean a mattress and rid it of old fusty body odour?

I worked in the family used furniture store for a brief stint so I can help some. Do a good cleaning as the other answer stated then mix up a bleach & water solution, 1 part bleach to 10 parts water, and spray it all over the mattress until it's damp. Let dry well and then do the other side too. That 10:1 mix will also kill most bacteria, germs, fungus, virus, etc. too. Don't worry, the bleach will not fade any of the color either, I've used it full strength and the colors stayed. If the odors are down in the cotton/foam padding then you'll need to replace the mattress, but I doubt anything got down that far, those mattress covers are very tough & tight woven.

My 3 1/2 month old won't sleep with or without swaddling! HELP!?

My baby girl uses to LOVE being swaddled. It was the only thing that comforted and soothed her AND put her to sleep right away. Here recently she started mildly resisting being swaddled... so I would let her nap in her swing without it occasionally and she did fine. She has always been a great sleeper and even usually falls asleep right away. Tonight, however, she squirmed and screamed when i tried to swaddle her. NO dirty diaper, just fed and burped, DEFINITELY tired. I figured she just didn't want it anymore so I let her lay in her crib to fall asleep. She wouldn't. I stayed next to her crib (hidden) for 1 hour, occasionally trying to comfort her and put her pacifier back in her mouth (usually she only keeps her paci in for a minute or 2 before falling asleep and spitting it out). Finally, she was so tired and worn out, (so was I) that I gave up and swaddled her. She was asleep in a second. She won't sleep with one arm out... (have tried that in the past) Any suggestions?

Ripped off? banfield petsmart in MD?

Hi I got a bichon a few days ago, and its nose was very dry so I brought her today to Petsmart and signed up for the basic puppy plan at Banfield. Today the doctor gave her 1) distemper parvo DAPP shot and 2) corona virus. the ppl there also said that the puppy's so young that they cannot give her any shots without giving her something called 'Diphenhydramine injection' Also I got a deworming med and a flee med. I did not ask for any of these but ppl there told me that these are a MUST. So, even with the plan I ended up paying 229 dollars today, ($139 for the plan start up fee, which I am suspicious about, $ 18 for the 'Diphenhydramine injection' thing, and rest for the medications that )Is that true? I am seeing that banfield over vacciante dogs and I dont want that happening to my puppy. and I feel like I could've saved a lot more money without this insurance. I was so pissed off and so were my parents. and there is a list of ten vaccines that says on the brochure that a puppy needs. My dad worked for a lady for 10yrs doing housekeeping, lawnwork, handyman things etc. She does taxes and social security on his payroll. How do you know if he can get unemployment or not? She recently laid him off due to confrentations in the fact that she has added way to much work for one man to do and alot more than was in his original job title. She also promised 2 wks pd vacation a year and he hasnt gotton any of it in the 10yrs he's been with her and she would have him come in to do things over the weekends sometimes like grill for her partys and things and didnt pay him any over time or nothin. Are my friend's parents spies?

OKay, so I already have a hamster that I take great care of. I also have 3 cats and a dog. Me and my little sister (4 years old) want to get a mouse, and at PETCO they are only $3! I think we can hold it responsible when it incites, encourages, or even turns a blind eye to it as in some cases I've seen many evangelical Christians do in the case of the man who killed the doctor who provided abortion services. While they may be reticent to come out openly and applaud it I've seen them in the anonymity of the internet approve it. Its not the same to say religion is like the gun, its more like a friend who tells another friend how awful the victim is and how they should be stopped and then leaves a loaded weapon in their possession. In some cases it can be worse then that, jihad camps where they specifically train people to kill for religious beliefs.

My two month old has had an upper respiratory infection (cold) for 2 weeks now...no fever or runny nose ever...only congestion and phlegm....she's really congested still and I have been using saline drops and the "booger sucker" but nothing is coming out (b/c it's in the back of her nasal pages I think....has anyone else ever had this with their little babies around this age? is this normal? i thought a cold was only suppose to last 5-10 days for one this age.....help please...I am worried sick b/c I know that if it gets bad in little babies it can be dangerous. doc said to just let it run its course 2 weeks ago....but I feel like it should have by now and she's still very congested and phlegmy.....

I own an HD FXSTB with a TC 88. I recently added the Screamin Eagle Heavy Breather to compliment the Performance of my Vance and Hines Short Shot Pipes. I had the breather professionally installed and the Download done by the dealership (Fuel Injected). However, my fellow bikers complain that when behind me they get a vapor smell coming from the pipes. My cat declawed herself?

We had an Earth Quake on March 1, 07 and my cat Sophia freaked out. She tried to run faster then her little feet would go and separated the quick from her toenail. I cleaned it twice a day and tonight her toenail fell off. Of course it's Saturday night and her vet is closed. Her quick is still attached to her toe but is very red with old dried blood on it. I'm 19 in first year's college, and I have never in my life dated, or even hung out with a girl before. I always feel like I'm not good enough, and scary. About 24 and a half minutes into the film Saving Private Ryan, there are two Axis infantrymen who are speaking Czech, Russian or some other Slavic language (all I know for sure is that it's not German, but a friend of mine tells me it's Czech). Well, people say im infatuated about this girl or wuddevs... but they also say infatuation is when you feel for a person but the feelings are not certain to last long, they say its a type of foolish or extravagent feeling, or when they do something you dont like or like reject or break up with you you'll be bummed for a few days but it wont break your heart. when i think of love i believe that real love never leaves the heart so no matter how much they hurt you, you'll still love them with you hurting heart... and if you dont love them now you didnt love them then... thats just what i believe... well, i know for a fact that i'll love this girl for the rest of my life until the day i die. and i also know that the last time she hurt me (she was pissed) i went into a deep state of depression and avoided her for like a month before i actually tried talking with her, she said she had wanted to talk to me the whole time but i wouldnt let her... but if infatuation is what i stated earlier, im not infatuated... and the foolish part... well, what i feel makes sense because i have plenty of reasoning for the feelings i have. and dont say im too young to know what love is, my mind is about 10 years ahead of myself. and i do know what love is, im really really mature for my age. i also know that real love involves commitment, and i am one of the most commited people you will ever meet. and i am completely commited to this girl... no matter what happens and what she does i will always be by her side, im only 13 and ive already done alot to keep her out of trouble and i wont stop ever. and dont say its hormones because its not. if im not infatuated, or in love... what am i? or do i not know what infatuation is?

if i were you i would look into purchasing a heat exchanger it will look like a torpedo.it will be a shell and have a copper coil in it.the steam will feed into the shell and the hot water will cir.threw the coil.i would not replace the steam boilers.then u can run baseboard .they do sell cast iron baseboard its expensive but holds the heat longer than fin tube.the steam will maintain temp. in the heat exchange and a call for heat will bring on a pump to cir. water threw the baseboard.u can change it to hot water by adding expansion tank and changeing the control setting i have done it.the heat exchanger is the way to go steam is very efficent source of heat.

Here's a little background: my mom and stepdad have been married for 20yrs; since I was 10 yrs old. Since my real dad died 6 yrs ago, my stepdad has dutifully and proudly taken his spot. Well, my parents are divorcing. I'm 30 yrs old and have a marriage and family of my own to maintain. So I made it very clear to them both, in a polite manner, multiple times, that I don't want to hear either bashing the other. That's what counselor and attorneys are for, not kids. My stepdad has respectfully kept his end of the deal. My brothers and sisters from his first marriage also respectfuly stay out of it, or at least don't mention it around me and my family. My mom on the other hand is impossible. If I text her and ask how my 11yr old sister is, she will bring him up. If we're on the phone talking about my daughters upcoming birthday, she rudely brings him up. Last week my sitter was sick, so my mother offered to fill in, great. I told her that all I asked was that she NOT fight with my stepdad all day on the phone while she's at my house with my daughter. (that's what they do while my sister is in school- fight on the phone or text.) she got mad and told me I had no right to tell her what she can and can't do around her granddaughter, then refused to babysit. I again told her I don't appreciate hearing her bash my stepdad and that it's disrespectful to do so in front of my family. Yet she continues to call and text my cell to tell me something rotten about him. I hate to completely cut ties bc my daughter still needs to know she has a grammie. And I don't want to abandon my little sister. Am I wrong to just completely chg my cell phone number, not give her the new one, and tell her to call my home phone if she wants to talk about one of the kids? How much more blunt can I be? She's talking to a counselor, and her pastor. I can't handle listening to her issues and maintain my own healthy marriage!

About 8 months ago I was interviewing for a job with a company co-owned by a man I met at the gym. I went on multiple interviews, and on more than one occasion he guaranteed that "we will get you in here". He also coached me on several interviews with people such as his HR rep. I realize this may have been wrong, but I was naive and I didn't think much of it at the time. Later, it became clear that his interest in me had nothing to do with my professional skills. He started texting me all the time, and even on one occasion asked me to kiss him. Obviously, this is WAY over the line, but I needed this job very badly. I did not kiss him, and told him that he would need to not be married (!!) if he ever thought such things would go on between us. My mother is 71 and not in very good shape. She is on medication for high blood pressure, high cholestral, inhaler for chronic bronchitis & many allergies, and is being treated for low platelets by a hematologist. Smoked for over 40 years (only quit 3 years ago). Gets absolutely no exercise. Was in to her primary doctor and had a bad EKG--is having an ultrasound at the hospital & more blood work tomorrow. He heart rate ranged between 52 and 54 on 2 different EKGs. The dr. called the hematologist and they decided to put her on Coumadin immediately. Have already made an appointment with a cardiologist next week. Do you think she has a blockage or is going to have a stroke? Just worried until I hear from the doctors.
